Please read this ENTIRE EMAIL! Winter wrap-up & important Spring Dates!
What a way to end the Winter T&F Season with four athletes attending PA STATES this past weekend. This is no small feat & we are extremely proud to have had CALVIN JORDAN,TORY GAUTHIER, ANGELINA PIERCE, LILA ZIEGLER & FURE ABHULIMEN represent the CHS Track & Field Team! You shined as individuals & as a Team!
COACHES CORNER: by COACH CARBERRY!
Calvin Jordan – 60m: placed 22nd (7.26)
Calvin was a bit of a surprise to make the meet, to be honest., considering he was State ranked #32. After scratches, he came in to the meet ranked 24th and would have had to set lifetime personal bests just to move from the prelim round to the semi round. This was the first time Conestoga has had a short sprints male qualify for this meet in 9 years, which is impressive considering we pull more from soccer types and not football types. Only one other CAL athlete (Lavar Jackson, Upper Darby – finished 8th) qualified in the same event. FYI: 7 out of the top 8 boys in the State Championship 60m final play high school football, including an All-State running back. Current Conestoga football players on roster: 2
4x200m – placed 14th (1:46.14) – Tory Gauthier, Angelina Pierce, Lila Ziegler, Fure Abhulimen
A strong result in my opinion (the girls would disagree) considering we made the meet after a flat track conversion. Placed 2nd in our heat but would’ve needed some faster teams to have disastrous days. This was the first State meet for all four girls and the first banked track experience for Fure. We were the highest placed CAL team (only Garnet Valley made the event and finished 18th). This could put us in a good position to score well in a 4x100m relay Outdoors….if we can pull Fure away from her club soccer commitments.
All-in-all, a great experience for our athletes who have plenty of remaining eligibility. It’s difficult to pull together relays that can compete against the State’s best considering the majority of our success will come from individual athletes. So, to perform at the level that this year’s squad is performing is actually quite special.

Just like last year, both boys and girls teams will be represented at the PTFCA State Championships being held this Sunday, Feb. 26 at Penn State University.
Our girls 4x200m relay will come into the meet ranked #10 in the State looking for a Top 8 State Medal.
This year's team had multiple lineups throughout the season, including Tory Gauthier, Angelina Pierce, Lila Ziegler, Fure Abhulimen, Ella Skrdla, Kayla Allen, and Addison Delorefice. All deserve credit for getting this ticket punched to the Big Show.
On the boys side, junior Calvin Jordan will represent Conestoga in the 60m dash. Jordan will come in ranked #24 and will attempt to move through three rounds (Preliminaries, Semis, and Finals). Conestoga hasn't medaled in these particular events since 2008 (4x200m girls) and 2006 (60m boys).
At the DVGTCA Meet of Champions, our girls team was represented across four events. Though we had qualifiers in more events, we decided to focus on the events we felt gave us the best opportunities at State Qualifying performances.
Tory Gauthier opened our meet with a 22nd place finish in the 60m dash (8.36).
Mary Pealer followed up with an 11th place finish in the High Jump (4'7").
Our 3000m athletes - Julia Harris and Alexia Tubbs - had high hopes before a fall in the first 100m of the race sent Tubbs to the ground. They finished 7th (Harris - 11:02.86, a new personal best) and 8th (Tubbs - 11:06.68).
The highlight of our meet was the girls 4x200m relay team of Tory Gauthier, Angelina Pierce, Lila Ziegler, and Fure Abhulimen. Racing in the slow section, we finished 3rd overall in a season's best time 1:47.44 (flat track conversion - 1:45.84). That time vaults this group to a #2 All-Time performance in Conestoga history.
At the TFCAofGP Meet of Champions, our boys team was represented across three events.
The boys 4x200m relay team opened up the meet with an 8th place finish (1:35.45 - flat track conversion - 1:33.85), a season's best. That team consisted of Colin Grimes, Alex Krapels, Kyle Friend, and Calvin Jordan. This performance barely misses a State Championship qualifying performance where the standard is 1:35.17, but does land them at #9 All-Time in Conestoga history. Grimes and Jordan came back only minutes later to compete in the 60m dash. Grimes ran a lifetime best 7.26 (#7 All-Time) but missed the final round by one spot.
Jordan, having made the final round by one spot racing 7.24, improved his time and place in that final round. He finished 8th overall in 7.22.
High Jumper Nick Galasso closed out our weekend with a 14th place finish, jumping 5'9". This was Galasso's first Indoor campaign where he improved his best performance by 4".

2/10 TFCAofGP Last Chance Meet - BOYS
After record setting performances last weekend at Ocean Breeze, it was going to be difficult to replicate similar performances in only six days. Unfortunately, that was the scenario on Friday evening for the boys team out at Lehigh University. Junior Tommy Barausky was a bright spot, racing in only his second Indoor event of the season (and his career). He placed 10th overall in the 800m (2:06.22). Junior Calvin Jordan placed 5th overall in the 60m event, racing 7.15 and moving his name to 4th All-Time in Conestoga history for the event. That time does not improve upon his converted 55m performance from last weekend (6.61 --> 7.11) and he remains tied for #30 on the State Champs descending order list, as of the writing of this post. The top 24 athletes that declare for this particular event will be selected to race in the State Championships on February 26. Stars of the Meet: Jordan joined with his teammates Colin Grimes, Kyle Friend, and Alex Krapels to land our final Meet of Champions qualifying performance in the 4x200m relay. The boys ran 1:36.35 with an excellent opening leg from Grimes (23.59).
2/11 PTFCA Indoor Carnival - CO-ED
We returned back to the same venue the next day for some very quality performances from both the boys and girls team against some stiff competition from around the State. Senior Aidan Max ran a tactically sound race to finish 6th overall in the 3000m. His time (9:19.86) moves him onto the All-Time List at #9 -- not bad for an athlete in only his third season of competition. Sophomore Kevin Gares, back in competition after a nagging hip injury, reset his lifetime personal best in the Pole Vault in only his second meet back. His jump of 11'0" moves him to #2 All-Time in Conestoga history. We finished the Indoor season with two boy Pole Vaulters in the top 65 of the State -- a feat never before accomplished in program history. Stars of the Meet go to the girls 4x200m relay team. Not to be outdone by their Sprint teammates, the team of Tory Gauthier, Angelina Pierce, Lila Ziegler, and Ella Skrdla raced to a 7th place finish (1:49.65) but, more importantly, moves them to #28 on the State Champs descending order list (flat track conversion --> 1:48.05). For this event, only 20 teams will be selected for the State Championships. This race marked the first time Pierce and Skrdla broke the 28 second barrier and Ziegler broke the 27 second barrier.

SETTING NEW STOGA RECORDS THIS PAST WEEKEND!
2/3 - DVGTCA Consolation Meet @ Glen Mills
A small handful of our JV girls went out to Glen Mills to finish their season at our league's Consolation Meet. Stoga's 4x800m relay team placed 10th overall (12:12.54) and sophomore Kayleigh Bender ran an excellent Mile race, finishing in 6:12.01.
2/4 - Valley Forge PV Club Series #2
In his season opening efforts returning from injury, sophomore Kevin Gares cleared 10'6" in the Pole Vault, tying a lifetime best and placing 3rd in the competition. That result moves him onto the All-Time lists, currently tied for #2 in Conestoga history.
2/4 - Ocean Breeze Invitational (BOYS)
The Ocean Breeze facility in Staten Island, NY provides a world-class experience for our athletes. Not only is this an opportunity to race on a banked, hydraulic, Mondo surface, it's also where USATF Championships are held and numerous National, Prep, and World Records have been run. When the lights were the brightest, most of our athletes were ready to shine.
Sophomore Brendan Wahlers opened the action with a new personal best 55m H (9.31 - good for #4 All-Time in Conestoga history), placing 10th in the Freshman division and barely missing the finals. Junior Colin Grimes continued with a 55m personal best of his own (6.82 - good for #7 All-Time in Conestoga history). Juniors Nathanael Chen and Alex Krapels also had impressive 55m races, 7.14 and 7.19 respectively. Freshman Jack Connolly finished his season with a nice duo of events - 7.42 55m and 26.76 200m, both lifetime bests for the newcomer. The Mile race saw tremendous output from our distance group - Aidan Max (4:44.87), Nav Manick (4:45.69), Tommy Barausky (4:46.00), Nathaniel Kluge (4:47.95) were all under the 5:00 barrier. This marks the first time Conestoga has had four boys under 5:00 Indoors since 2017. Eight additional boys also ran lifetime bests in the Mile race. In the field, junior Kyle Friend exploded for another lifetime best in the Long Jump (20'3.25" - improving to #4 All-Time in Conestoga history) and sophomore Vir Chopra had another lifetime best in the Triple Jump (34'5.75"). The boys 4x200m relay team of Calvin Jordan, Colin Grimes, Kyle Friend, and Alex Krapels ran 1:34.30 - a season best and good for #9 All-Time in Conestoga history. That performance is currently #32 in the State of PA and less than a second off of a State Championship Qualifying performance (before flat track conversions). Star of the Meet (#1) goes to new school record holder, sophomore Patrick Barausky for his 11'6" Pole Vault performance. This jump was a full 1' improvement on his season with lots of room to continue. Star of the Meet (#2) goes to new school record holder, junior Calvin Jordan for his 6.61 55m performance. Jordan ran 6.67 in the preliminary rounds to advance to the finals where he improved significantly. This time is a State Championship qualifier, however, only 24 athletes will be selected for this event and Jordan currently stands at #27.
2/5 - Ocean Breeze Invitational (GIRLS)
Similar to the boys, the girls were ready to fire the moment they stepped into Ocean Breeze's beautiful facility. Junior Angelina Pierce improved on her 55m lifetime best, running 7.74 (improving her #6 All-Time performance in Conestoga history). Freshman Melissa Guillen continued her season's improvement over 55m H, running 9.94 to make the finals for the Freshman division alongside her classmate and teammate, Rheeya Sudhagar (10.32). That time for Guillen is #7 All-Time in Conestoga history, her first appearance on the list. In the finals, Guillen placed 2nd overall and Sudhagar placed 8th. Guillen came back in the Pole Vault to clear 8'0", a new personal best, and place 6th overall in the event. Sophomore Ella Skrdla ran 28.35 for 200m, an Indoor best, and was followed up by an even better 28.06 in the 4x200m relay. Freshman Audrey Dogum ran an excellent race to place 3rd overall in the Freshman division (2:27.47). That time is easily the fastest Indoor freshman 800m result in the past 15 years of Conestoga history. The Mile race also had some solid performances from Lizzie Gares (5:42.05 - 4th overall, Soph race), Lilly Jones (5:48.35 - 6th overall, Soph race), Laura Traineau (5:52.04 - 9th overall, Freshman race), and Mariel Hadijiliadis (5:53.21 - 8th overall, Soph race...after a fall). Star of the Meet goes to freshman Nicol Bovanova for her gold medal in the Freshman Long Jump. Bovanova jumped 15'9.25" on her sixth and final jump of the competition which stands as a new lifetime best and ties her for #10 All-Time Conestoga history. Her result is #4 for all freshmen in the State of PA. She walked away with both a first place medal and plaque for her efforts.
This week's meets: Friday (2/10) - TFCAofGP Last Chance Meet (boys) @ Lehigh (bus departs at 4:00pm)
Saturday (2/11) - PTFCA Indoor Carnival (co-ed) @ Lehigh (TBD on bus departure)

Friday was the final attempt for our girls to qualify for their DVGTCA Meet of Champions and they absolutely rose to the occasion. Angelina Pierce ran another personal best for 60m (8.55), her second of the season. Our freshman hurdle duo both raced to new personal bests - Rheeya Sudhagar (10.97), #12 Freshman time in PA and Melissa Guillen (11.18), #20 Freshman time in PA. Senior Mary Pealer high jumped to a 5th place finish (4'9"). Lila Ziegler jumped a new lifetime personal best in the Long Jump (15'11.5"), good for another Meet of Champions qualifier (2 individual and 1 relay) and #9 All-Time in Conestoga Indoor Track & Field history. Star of the Meet goes to freshman Alexia Tubbs, our 3000m champion. This marks her first high school race victory. Her time (10:59.04) lands her at #9 All-Time in Conestoga Indoor Track & Field history, right behind her teammate, sophomore Lizzie Gares. Tubbs stands at overall #31 in Pennsylvania at the moment and #3 Freshman in the State.
Upcoming meets: 2/3 - DVGTCA Consolation Meet @ Glen Mills (GIRLS)

It was an unprecedented weekend of racing for 'Stoga T&F as we attempted to attend three separate meets on the same day for the first time in program history.
We may have some tired kids attending practice early this week, but we also had some strong results along the way.
Glen Mills - TFCAofGP
A small squad of boys went out to the Glen Mills school:
sophomore 55m hurdles Brendan Wahlers (9.56) came away with a 12th place finish and his first appearance in a Conference final.
The Distance Medley Relay team of Ryan Erwin, Jacob Yan, Biji Blagoev, and Shane Harley took home a 13th place finish (13:47.32) with Erwin having the most impressive relay split (4:25.05 for 1200m).
Star of the Meet goes to sophomore Patrick Barausky and his silver medal for pole vaulting 10'0", just below his personal best of 10'6" set earlier this season.
Lehigh - DVGTCA
Another smaller squad, this time from the girls team, headed out to Lehigh for one of their last Indoor competitions held at the facility.
Junior Keating Hopkins, in her first attempt racing 800m, set a high bar for herself racing 2:31.21 - currently good for 92nd in Pennsylvania. She finished 9th overall.
First-year hurdlers Maddie Rakes and Grace Hummel raced their first 60m Hurdle race of the season, finishing in 11.95 and 12.45, respectively.
Sophomore Lilly Jones had an exciting Mile race, running 5:55.70 for her first dip under the 6:00 barrier.
Star of the Meet goes to junior Tori Gauthier for her strong double performance - 8.24 60m and 27.53 200m. Her 60m performance is a Meet of Champions qualifier and vaults her to #4 All-Time Conestoga Indoor Track & Field. Her 200m is a painstaking 0.03 off another Meet of Champions qualifier. Gauthier will represent Conestoga in both the 60m and 4x200m at the Meet of Champions.
Ursinus - Bears HS Invitational
A much larger co-ed squad headed over to Collegeville for the final meet at Ursinus on our calendar. Once again, there were nearly 1,200 student-athletes competing which made for a very long day of competition and patience.
On the girls side:
400m lifetime PRs from sophomores Ella Skrdla (1:06.51) and Allison Hickey (1:08.56)
55m Hurdle lifetime PRs from the sensational freshman duo of Rheeya Sudhagar (10.29) and Melissa Guillen (10.39). Sophomore Mariel Hadijiliadis, in her first attempt at the distance, ran an excellent 11:24.58 for 3000m, good for 6th overall.
Junior Lila Ziegler broke the 28 second barrier for the first time over 200m (27.80).
Star(s) of the Meet - (1) junior Angelina Pierce ran a very quick 55m (7.82), landing her at #6 All-Time Conestoga Indoor Track & Field, her first appearance on the All-Time charts, and followed up with a 200m personal best (28.80). (2) freshman Nicol Bovanova continued her impressive rookie campaign in the Long Jump - she jumps 15'8.75" (over a 6" personal best), finishes 4th overall (out of 39 athletes), and lands at #10 All-Time Conestoga Indoor Track & Field (the first addition to the Long Jump list in nine years).
On the boys side:
Junior Nick Galasso puts in a consistently strong performance, high jumping 5'10 and finishing 2nd overall.
Junior Nathan Kluge pushed through that 10:00 barrier in the 3000m for the first time, finishing in 9:51.58 and 11th place.
Junior Colin Grimes had the best 200m performance from the team, racing 24.13 and a new personal best.
Freshman Jack Connolly, in his second lifetime Indoor race, set a new personal best in the 55m - 7.45.
Star(s) of the Meet - (1) Calvin Jordan ran a huge lifetime best over 55m (6.75) which moves him up the All-Time charts to #6, just behind 2021 star graduate Henry Miller (now competing at Univ. of Vermont). (2) junior Kyle Friend had a massive Indoor personal best in the Long Jump, jumping 19'2.25" (over 1' better than his previous best). That marks moves him up to #8 All-Time Conestoga Indoor Track & Field.
Upcoming meets: 1/27 - TFCAofGP (boys) @ Glen Mills & 1/27 - DVGTCA (girls) @ Lehigh

This past Friday saw the first of three straight weeks where both boys and girls will be competing on a Friday evening. The girls headed off to Alvernia, the last stop in Reading for the season. Both freshman hurdlers continued to improve and impress:
Rheeya Sudhagar ran 11.11 and Melissa Guillen ran 11.19 for 60mH. These times keep them both planted in the top-16 for all freshmen in the State of PA. Junior Kayla Allen jumped a personal best for Triple Jump (30'1.25") and sophomore Lizzie Gares placed 8th overall in the 3000m (11:29.68). The star of this meet goes to junior Lila Zielger -- she jumped a new Indoor personal best in the Long Jump (15'7.5") and ran a new lifetime best in the 60m (8.27), which plants her at #4 All-Time in Conestoga Indoor Track & Field history.
The boys competed at Lehigh University, the last stop in the Lehigh Valley until mid-February. Junior Nick Galasso continued his strong season, high jumping 5'10" again and winning the overall event. Junior Calvin Jordan ran a lifetime best for 200m -- 23.99, good for 7th overall. Sophomore Aidan Mahoney ran a tactical 3000m race, finishing 8th overall in a new lifetime best 9:39.31. Sophomore Vir Chopra jumped a new Indoor best in the Triple Jump (34'1.5"). The star of the meet goes to junior Colin Grimes who runs 7.32 for his first-ever 60m. That time lands him at #7 All-Time in Conestoga Indoor Track & Field history and moves his teammate Jordan down to #8. Grimes was also the leadoff leg for the boys 4x200m relay who ran 1:37.571, a mere 0.331 off a Meet of Champions qualifier. That team consisted of Grimes, Alex Krapels, Kyle Friend, and Jordan.
We'll be back in action this Friday, Jan 20 split into three meets - TFCAofGP (boys) @ Glen Mills School, DVGTCA (girls) @ Lehigh University, and the Bears HS Invitational (co-ed) @ Ursinus College.

Dues are for all Athletes JV & Varsity. $75 per athlete PER SEASON, 2 or more athletes $125 per family. Thank you to the families who have paid.
Why are Booster Fees Important?
If your athlete is a Senior we want to honor them with a Sr Night & at the Banquet as well as present gifts. If dues are not paid we presently can not afford to give them a gift when we honor them. Our booster funds depend on the athlete dues & fundraising efforts.
The same holds true for t-shirts, if dues are not paid an athlete will not get a 2023 Winter & Spring Season t-shirt. We will be collecting sizes & placing orders by 1/15. We want to include EVERY Athlete please assure your dues are paid by 1/15/23!

COACHES CORNER: MEET RESULTS, COACH CARBERRY!
Friday - DVGTCA @ Alvernia
The weekend got underway with our girls traveling a large group out to Alvernia College. The underclassmen were shining bright - freshman Nicol Bovanova placed 9th overall in the Long Jump (15'2.5") and both freshman Rheeya Sudhagar (11.24) and Melissa Guillen (11.45) set personal bests in the 60m Hurdles. Senior Mary Pealer was the lone medal winner, placing 3rd overall in the High Jump (4'11") and earning her first Meet of Champions qualifier. The girls 4x200m Relay ran exceptionally well, placing 5th overall, and also qualifying for the Meet of Champions (1:52.57). This team consisted of Tori Gauthier (JR), Angelina Pierce (JR), Ofure Abhulimen (FR), and Kayla Allen (JR). The star of the day goes to freshman Ofure Abhulimen -- not only was she the fastest leg on the MoC qualifying 4x2, she also ran a very quick 400m (1:03.91), less than a second off an individual MoC qualifying standard.
Saturday - TFCAofGP @ Lehigh
The boys brought a sampling of all disciplines up to Lehigh to try and improve in 2023. Junior Kyle Friend ran a personal best for 60m (7.53), less than 0.2 second away from his MoC qualifier. Senior Aidan Max had an exceptional 3000m race, placing 6th overall in 9:34.96 - a 25 second improvement than earlier this season. We wanted to highlight our freshman/sophomore group that raced the Distance Medley Relay - Jackson Kime, Jack Connolly, Biji Blagoev, and Shane Harley. Most of these boys were racing their first high school T&F race, were very prepared, and had incredibly positive attitudes! The star of the day goes to sophomore Patrick Barausky for placing 6th overall in the Pole Vault with a jump of 10'6". That jump ties the All-Time Conestoga Indoor T&F school record.
Sunday - Collegeville Invitational @ Ursinus College
The underclassmen were on display, once again; this time in the distance events. Freshman Laura Traineau had a lifetime PR in her first high school T&F race - 6:05.75 for Mile. Her distance teammates followed up with excellent 3000m results. Brendan McGuilkin (SR) ran 10:28.02, Ethan Del Viscio (SO) ran 10:46.19, and Lilly Jones (SO) ran 11:19.23 -- great results for athletes competing in the event for the first time. The star of the day goes to freshman Alexia Tubbs for placing 6th overall in the 3000m running 11:06.26 - currently the #2 overall freshman girl for 3000m in the State of Pennsylvania and currently #10 All-Time for Conestoga Indoor T&F.
Next up: Friday, 1/13 - DVGTCA (girls ) @ Alvernia College & Friday, 1/13 - TFCAofGP (boys) @ Lehigh University

Athletes dues please pay ASAP - This is for all Athletes JV & Varsity.
If you have financial concerns that do not allow you to meet the $75 dues per athlete/$125 per family, confidentially contact Coach Mark Carberry.
How to pay your Dues:Venmo: @bridget-BurnsWalsh, Paypal @StogaXCTF, select send to a friend or funds will be refused & you will need to resubmit. COACHES CORNER: MEET RESULTS OVER WINTER BREAK FROM COACH CARBERRY!
Stoga took the opportunity to have some of our older athletes compete in hopes of acquiring their championship qualifying marks. We were absolutely able to accomplish that, given a small amount of available athletes.
On the girls side, senior Julia Harris ran 11:14.46 for 3000m at the DVGTCA meet on 12/23 - a Meet of Champions qualifying mark, the second of her career. That time currently stands as 14th best in the State. In the Robert J Burdette Classic at Lehigh, Mary Pealer, placed 3rd place in the Girls High Jump with a jump of 4’9”.
On the boys side, junior Charlie Henderson ran 53.63 for 400m on 12/22 - another Meet of Champions qualifying mark, the first of his career, and an Indoor personal best by over a second. He currently sits as the 35th best in the State. Junior Nick Galasso, in only his third ever Indoor competition, high jumped 5'10" on 12/29 placing 5th - another Meet of Champions qualifier. His mark sits T-17 in the State and places him as #3 All-Time in Conestoga Indoor T&F history.
For future reference on Meet of Champions qualifying standards, Varsity standards, and State Championship standards, please reference a document I've posted to our Schoology page under "Resources", it will also be added to our website this week. We hope for all of our families to help encourage their student-athletes to monitor their progress towards these goals.

12/16, Girls DVGTCA @ Alvernia College
Plenty of 'Stoga girls were in action on Friday night at Alvernia College, beginning with the DMR (Distance Medley Relay: 1200-400-800-1600). The star of the relay was junior Marah Walton, closing her 1600m leg in a new personal best (5:41.92). The 4x200 relay team of Lila Ziegler, Tory Gauthier, Angelina Pierce, and Addison Delorefice ran a season's best (1:55.63), landing them in the top 20 performances in the DVGTCA. Sabrina Conrad vaulted a new personal best of 8'0" and Rheeya Sudhagar ran the first 60m high hurdle race of her young career, finishing as the fourth-best freshman in the field.
12/17, Boys TFCAofGP @ Lehigh University
The boys team headed up to the Lehigh Valley for their first conference meet of the year. The highlight of the meet came early in the 60m dash where junior Calvin Jordan ran 7.33 in the finals of the event. That time qualifies him for the TFCAofGP Meet of Champions (to be held on February 18) and stands in a tie for 7th fastest 60m dash in Conestoga T&F history. Sophomore Aidan Mahoney opened his season with a massive PR in the 3000m (9:54.15) followed by his teammate Nav Manick (10:22.59), another big PR. Not to be outdone by their teammates, the boys 4x200 relay team of Charlie Henderson, Alex Krapels, Kyle Friend, and Calvin Jordan ran an impressive time of 1:39.08, a top-25 performance in the TFCAofGP. Sophomore Vir Chopra also opened up his season with a new Indoor personal best in the Triple Jump, 33'11.5".

The T&F Stoga team is breaking records! Stay up to date with T&F accomplishments & top performers on our website! Last Week's Recap:
Friday - DVGTCA @ Alvernia College
Strong performances from a small group of upperclassmen girls, in general, highlighted by Tory Gauthier's quick 60m performance and Lila Ziegler's 5th place Long Jump performance. Gauthier's 8.32 moves her up one spot to #4 All-Time at Conestoga's Top 10 Indoor Girls T&F list and Ziegler's 15'7.5" narrowly misses an All-Time Top 10 performance by a quarter inch.
Saturday- Ursinus HS Invitational @ Ursinus College
Both a boys and girls contingent traveled to Collegeville to showcase our talent, both experienced and brand new. On the boys side, junior Nick Galasso had a fantastic day placing third overall in the High Jump (5'8") in his first Indoor T&F meet ever. Junior Nathaniel Kluge placed 9th overall in the 3000m (10:00.51) in his first crack at the event. Short sprint specialist junior Calvin Jordan stretched up to the 400m, placing 18th overall in 56.47. Junior Kyle Friend had an excellent opening season 55m running 6.99, barely missing the All-Time Top 10 list.
On the girls side, the race of the day goes to freshman Audrey Dogum in her first Indoor T&F experience ever. She placed 9th overall in the girls Mile (5:56.91) with a thunderous closing kick. Her twin sister, Laila Dogum, was just as impressive, placing 15th in the 3000 (12:14.95). Junior Mary Pealer was back to her strong performances, placing 5th overall in the girls High Jump (4'8"), barely missing a Top 3 medal. Finally, the girls Pole Vault was a successful event for Conestoga. Freshman Melissa Guillen and sophomore Sabrina Conrad set or matched their lifetime best (7'6'') in a tie for 13th place.
